I am certainly not suggesting big weird freaky Mr Bean smiles but just natural friendly ones. You will be pleasantly surprised by how many women will smile back at you courteously.

As you gain more confidence, just say "hi" with a smile to women and even men if you like, for the purpose of the exercise. I know, it will be a horrible feeling at first, but it will get easier and easier as you see people reciprocating your friendliness.

After you've smiled and said "hi" to dozens of girls, you should start feeling good as long as you don't give up on your first negative response. Negative responses you are bound to encounter in the way that people do not respond to your greetings or looking at you as if you are a weirdo, but they is rare occurences.

One of my clients did the "smile at ladies routine" that he actually ended up meeting the girl of his dreams and a year down the road, they got married! Therefore don't belittle this amazing exercise.

Now, let's assume that you have built up your confidence or at least have the courage to approach women you don't know in a bar.

So let's suppose two girls are seated together at the bar. One is the "ugly duckling" and the other is the hottie whom you want to pick up. You know what, with the confidence you have built with the above exercise, just go up to her and say "hi" with a genuine smile and confident eye contact.

If you see and like her, it is better not to think too much about the approach or you will be more likely to work yourself into such a state that your approach will be ineffective or you just chicken out altogether!

Do you know that are very observant with your appearance. As a matter of fact, women are far more observant than men. It is just their natural instinct to be like that. They notice things that you and I may never even be aware of.

Don't believe me? Well, take your shoes you are wearing for example. Girls will almost always look at a man's shoes and make a judgment of you. If you are wearing a pair of dirty old sports shoes, she will think, "Gosh, that guy does not even take care of himself, how can he take care of others then?". That certainly is not being impressive to a woman.

In contrast, when was the last time you judged a woman based on what kind of shoes she was wearing? Let me make a guess, you probably did not even bother to look at her shoes, right? If you are like me and you probably are, you were far more focused on her legs than on her shoes, didn't you? Gotcha!

The reason why women are impressed with men with good dress sense appearance is precisely because women are so observant. Therefore you need to dress nicely to impress her and be consistent with your fashion sense. That means that not only do you need to wear a decent pair of shoes, the rest of your dress sense needs to match your shoes.

You also need to be consistent to create an identity unique to you and therefore can't wear a pair of expensive Italian dress shoes one day and a crappy pair of flip-flops the next day. Women will definitely notice your inconsistent appearance to your own detriment!

There are two basic components to fashion consistency. Firstly, you need to be consistent within a single outfit and secondly, you need to be consistent from day to day. To retain consistency within a single outfit, you need to have all the pieces of your outfit matching each other. I don't just mean that the colors need to match, what I meant is that everything you are wearing needs to fit within the same "style".

Take for example, an inconsistent outfit might consist of a bright green T shirt, a pair of dark brown dress pants and a pair of running shoes. Yucks! Isn't that awful? The problem is men are committing this fashion dress sense mistake all the time and they don't even know it! But Women do!

Of equal importance, you need to dress consistently from one day to the next. This is especially important if you see and meet the same people day in and day out.

I once had an email from a guy called Jep. Jep was certainly very dedicated to looking his Sunday best and even went shopping several times each month. He used to visit the most expensive male boutiques and bought tons of nice expensive clothes so as to impress women.

"I was certain I had lots of great clothes," Jep told me, "but the other day I was talking with a couple of girls and they actually started making fun of my fashion dress sense!" After exchanging a few emails with him, I got to the root of his problem which is that his fashion sense was totally confused. He had a wardrobe full of nice clothes, but they were totally out of sync!

One day David would wear a handsome Armani blazer, the next day he would put on an oversized scarlet limited edition Adidas Tee. Sure, they were both expensive clothes were fashionable but the problem is that they are completely different mix.

I advised Jep to stick with one single style which is the image he wished to project. If you are going to wear an Armani blazer one day, you should wear something similar the next.

Remember, women are incredibly observant! They will remember what you wore yesterday. If it is a total mismatch with your dress sense today, then they will definitely take notice and immediately think, "that guy has no idea at all when it comes to fashion sense!" That is certainly not an impressive thought, don't you think?
